North America BO: Drishyam Dominates, Others Struggle
Drishyam: The Conclusion is doing most of the heavy lifting at the North American box office. The film collected $808K on Saturday, taking its total gross to $1.91M. That is a solid start, and it looks set to comfortably cross $5 million in this market.
The other new Telugu releases posted negligible numbers in comparison.
Despite heavy promotion by Rajamouli’s family, Don’t Trouble the Trouble earned just $31K on Friday, bringing its total to $103K. Tamil film Baththa followed with $29K and a cumulative gross of $89K.
Sundeep Kishan’s Sigma, directed by Jason Sanjay, collected just $9K, taking its total to $25K. Thellakaagitham added $6K for a total of $12K.
Nani’s The Paradise brought in $5K on Friday, pushing its overall gross to $2.12M. The film has dropped sharply and is now collecting peanuts. At this pace, its theatrical run looks likely to end soon.
Saturday’s figures leave Drishyam as the clear standout among these releases.
