Dulquer Salmaan’s much-awaited I’m Game has made a last-minute exit from the Onam race. The film, which was earlier scheduled to hit screens on August 20, has now been postponed.
Just a while ago, the makers announced the postponement and locked September 3, 2026 as the new release date. Interestingly, the move takes I’m Game out of the crowded Onam season, and its exit means films like Khalifa will now get some breathing space at the box office.
However, the new September 3 release date is already looking competitive. Sumanth Prabhas’ Romanchakam is reportedly scheduled to release on the same date, while there is also buzz that Allari Naresh’s Ramba Oorvasi Menaka is targeting the same week.
The bigger factor is the film’s five-language release. I’m Game will arrive in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada, which means the Dulquer-starrer will be competing for screens with other films across multiple markets.
So, the new release date could bring a different kind of box-office challenge for I’m Game. So ,The September 3 weekend is shaping up to be an interesting one.
