Three direct Telugu films released yesterday and unfortunately no clear winner has emerged. All three have got mixed reports and varying starts at the box office.

While nothing was expected box office wise from a film like Guntur Talkies, it was expected to grow later in case the word of mouth was extraordinary, the trade certainly expected Manchu Manoj’s Shourya to lead the pack. But the sad reality is that it is almost on par with Guntur Talkies.
This opening has been the most worrying aspect among all the releases as Manchu Manoj at least showed some initials previously. Youth always have shown inclination towards him. He was seen as hero who could slowly take the Manchu family forward but his rejection almost on the level of Manchu Vishnu is surprising everyone. Is this the end of road for solo Manchu family movies?
Or was Shourya simply not exciting enough as a project and with the director’s track record? We will know the actual reality when the next film of Manoj releases. As of now based on the performances of all solo releases from family, the end certainly looks near, if someone doesn’t get it right immediately.
