The film has actually not crashed like one has expected it to be but still due to the huge budget and the selling price, despite the okay run it is going to incur massive loses to the tune of 30Cr to 40Cr. Mind you, this is only an initial estimation and the final figure could be even bigger.
While the star is appreciated for the pull at box office, many attribute it to the genre which is getting people drawn to the theater. After showing remarkable maturity in terms of scripts in the past few films, this selection is seen as a step backwards by many including the fans and the massive expected loss is only making things worse for everyone.
