Vijay Deverakonda is raring to make a strong comeback after the debacle of Liger. But his immediate next project, Kushi is getting delayed due to the medical condition of Samantha who plays the female lead in the film. She has been receiving treatment for Myositis and was unable to carry on with the shoots.
Amidst the delays, there have been rumors that Vijay Deverakonda might put Kushi on the back burner, owing to Sam’s unavailability, and instead take the proposed film with Goutham Tinnanuri onto the floors.
M9.news got in touch with Vijay’s team and here’s what they had to say about it.
We have now come to know that Kushi is still very much happening and the shoot is likely to resume on the 20th of November. They do acknowledge Sam’s unavailability and say they are firmly behind her in this. They are confident of resuming the shoot as Sam gears up to resume shoots.
It is also confirmed that Vijay has green-signaled the idea narrated by Goutham in principle. But the final call will be taken only after the bound script is narrated.
As things stand, Kushi is still of priority for Vijay. The project with Goutham will happen after the final script is okayed by the hero.
