Who’s Trying to Damage Mythri Movie Makers Reputation?

Mythri Movie Makers fake Instagram warning

A fresh controversy has surfaced in Tollywood after a fake Instagram account appeared in the name of producer Naveen Yerneni, one of the founders of Mythri Movie Makers. The issue quickly became a hot topic within film circles, as an unidentified individual allegedly attempted to mislead people by impersonating the producer on social media.

Responding swiftly, Mythri Movie Makers issued an official clarification warning the public to stay alert. The banner stated that someone is falsely using Naveen Yerneni’s name through an Instagram account with the username “YerneniNaveen” and a phone number, neither of which has any connection to the producer or the company. They urged people to report the fake account and number immediately to avoid falling prey to fraud.

The production house also clarified that all official communication would come only through their verified handle, @MythriOfficial. People were advised to be especially cautious of messages offering film roles, casting opportunities, or business proposals in the company’s name.

This is not the first time such thing has happened. Mythri had issued a similar cybercrime warning just weeks ago, and several South Indian film banners have faced the same problem. Last year, Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films International warned against fake casting agents. Earlier this year, Pa. Ranjith’s Neelam Productions issued a similar alert, and Prince Pictures cautioned the public about scammers offering roles in Sardar 2 for money.

Overall, the increasing number of fake accounts and false announcements has become a growing concern for the film industry. Production houses are now repeatedly urging the public to verify information only through official sources to avoid being cheated.
