The much-anticipated Vijay Deverakonda-starrer ‘Family Star’ faced a huge crash on its second day after a below-par opening day at the box office performance on the second day, accumulating just over Rs 4 crores, marking a decline of over 30% in collections.
The film’s shares on the second day in various regions were embarrassingly low at Guntur – 6 lakhs, West – 5 lakhs, Nellore – 4 lakhs, and East – 3.5 lakhs, totaling around 45 lakhs in AP (including Ceeded).
In Nizam, it collected a share of ₹80 lakhs on the second day, totaling ₹2.3 crores in two days.
The film registered a poor 28.62% occupancy in Telugu states and 18.39% in Tamil Nadu and struggled to maintain momentum. The total worldwide collection currently stands around Rs 9.5 crore share, making it Vijay Deverakonda’s lowest opener at the box office.
Comparatively, ‘Tillu Square’ on its ninth day in Nizam collected ₹90 lakhs, totaling ₹16.8 crores without GST. Tillu Square on its 9th Day is doing better than Family Star on its 2nd day which tells the disappointing box office story of Family Star!
