Prabhas’ upcoming pan India film Fauzi is one of the most awaited projects in his lineup. Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, who impressed audiences with Sita Ramam, the film is set before India’s independence and revolves around the story of a soldier.
The film marks the Telugu debut of Pakistan-based social media influencer Imanvi, who is paired opposite Prabhas. Mithun Chakraborty, Jayaprada, Anupam Kher, and Bhanu Chander are also part of the cast.
Fauzi was originally scheduled to release on August 14, but the film has been postponed multiple times. The latest release date is December 3, 2026. A portion of the shoot is still pending, although the makers have been releasing updates and posters to keep the buzz alive. The latest shooting schedule is currently taking place in Hyderabad.
According to reports, the team recently shot a sequence in Kokapet involving Prabhas. In the scene, Brahmins are performing a ritual at a temple when British soldiers arrive and create chaos. Prabhas reportedly appears in a Brahmin getup and fights back against them.
The team has now moved to another major action schedule at the Railway Finance Corporation premises in Hyderabad. The upcoming schedule is expected to continue for around three weeks and reportedly features a major action sequence. The sequence is said to be one of the highlights of the film, with the makers planning to mount it on a large scale.
The extended action schedule has added to the curiosity around Fauzi, especially after the makers recently released a striking poster featuring Prabhas covered in blood, wearing a sacred thread and holding a rifle.
The sequence has already created curiosity because it could offer something rarely seen in mainstream Indian cinema: a Brahmin character at the center of a high octane action sequence.
