2023 marks the 25th year of Bollywood’s most popular director, Karan Johar, and he is back with his latest film, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.
The trailer of the film was released yesterday, and the response has been surprisingly good. The film looks like a quintessential Karan Johar film, which has dollops of romance, bling, huge sets, comedy, and, of course, family drama, which has been the hallmark of Bollywood.
The biggest USP of the film definitely looks to be Alia Bhatt, who looks like a dream, especially in those sleeveless sarees. She plays Rani, a fiery Bengali girl, and it looks like it is going to be her most glamorous performance.
Ranveer Singh also seems to be back to his frivolous form after a streak of bad films like Jayeshbhai Jordaar and Cirkus. The film’s music by Pritam is a huge plus, and the ‘Tum Kya Mile’ track is already a chartbuster.
The trailer of the film has given a boost to the hype surrounding the film. The trade is expecting the film to open to solid numbers during its first weekend, and if the content clicks, then Bollywood might see another hit soon after Zara Hatke Zara Bachke.
It looks like Bollywood is finally fighting back and finding its lost glory.
