Diwali Telugu releases Dulquer Salmaan’s Lucky Bhaskar and Kiran Abbavaram’s KA clashed, both premiering on Wednesday, which means they had a five-day first week.
Lucky Bhaskar collected $685,106 by the end of its first weekend. The performance is not impressive considering the reviews and high ratings the film has received. However, the good news is that the film picked up well since Saturday, and Sunday was strong, indicating a good second week ahead. There are no new releases that could hurt Bhaskar in the second week.

As for KA, it collected $421,975 by the end of its first weekend. While this is decent given the limited appeal of the genre, there are no fireworks in the numbers either.
The good news for both films is that there are no new releases this week, so both should have a decent hold in their second week.

Tamil film Amaran has performed well, collecting up to $957,103. This marks the first million-dollar film for hero Sivakarthikeyan, and it is expected to have a good second-week run as well.
