Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 has been incredibly successful, both in terms of popularity and revenue. Trade expert Taran Adarsh revealed on Wednesday that it has outperformed Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan (524.5 crores) in earnings and emerged as the highest-grossing Hindi film in India, collecting almost Rs. 525 crores net.
But the joy for Gadar 2 won’t last long, as Shah Rukh Khan’s another film, Jawan, is expected to have crossed Gadar 2 by Thursday night and emerged as the highest-grossing Hindi film ever in India.
Jawan has collected around 520 crores, and it has seen a very stable run at the box office even on weekdays. On Thursday, Jawan is expected to collect in the range of 5-6 crores and become the highest Hindi grosser by beating Gadar 2.
Gadar 2 will be remembered as the onlly film that held the crown of the highest-grosser for just one day. It will be the film that remained the highest-grosser for the shortest period of time.
