Many big-budget hugely anticipated pan-India films will be released in the second half of 2024 starting with Pushpa 2. But if there’s one film that hasn’t piqued that much excitement yet among the audience then it is Ram Charan’s Game Changer directed by Shankar.
It is surprising because Ram Charan teaming up with a visionary director like Shankar and pairing up with a superhot beauty like Kiara Advani should have created much more hype.

Now, there’s buzz that they’re selling the rights to distribute Game Changer everywhere. Industry insiders say the rights for North India have been bought by Anil Thadani (AA Films) for Rs 75 crore on an advance basis.
This is a very good deal for the makers of Game Changer. But for the distributors to recover 75 crores, the film has to do a business of 150-160 crores net in Hindi, which is difficult but not completely impossible.

Game Changer has to do better business than Salaar (135 crores) and Saaho (130 crores) to achieve breakeven and emerge as a hit in Hindi. Anything above 125 crores would be deemed a success. If Game Changer crosses 180 crores in Hindi it would be declared a superhit.
Dil Raju and his team talked to a lot of distributors but ended up going with AA Films. They’re planning to release it widely because it’s Ram Charan’s first movie after RRR.

Anil Thadani is betting on the Hindi market for the four big Telugu movies this year, paying around 425 crore in total. Since there aren’t many big Hindi movies in 2024 other than Singham Again and Welcome 3, all eyes are on the Telugu industry!
