The pre-release fears for Game Changer starring Global Star Ram Charan have unfortunately come true.
The film is recording massive losses for its U.S. distributor. Currently, the movie has grossed around $1.8 million, while the breakeven number is over $4.5 million. To mitigate the losses, the U.S. distributor enabled theater passes for Game Changer, but even with these passes, the film is struggling to post decent collections.

As of 9 p.m. EST on Tuesday, the film has collected just $57,756, and it is unlikely to reach even $100K for the day.
The poor trend indicates there won’t be any significant recovery ahead, and the film appears to be done and dusted in the U.S. market. This will go down as one of the biggest shocks to U.S. trade in recent times, with Game Changer posting massive losses for a Pan-India Telugu film.

At this point, it is expected that the film will wrap up by the coming weekend, with a closing gross of around $2.2–2.3 million.
By any measure, this is a rude shock for buyers in the U.S. Sadly, Game Changer, directed by Shankar and starring Ram Charan, marks the first major Pan-India failure from the Telugu film industry, delivering a massive financial hit to the distributors who invested heavily in it.
