Indian 2/Bharateeyudu 2, failed to generate much excitement in the Telugu states from the beginning. Fans were disappointed that Shankar prioritized Indian 2, delaying Ram Charan’s Game Changer by three years. Currently, Bharateeyudu 2 is struggling at the Telugu box office and has already been removed from several screens.
Fans are now anxious about what Shankar has done with Game Changer and whether the film will meet expectations.
Shankar mentioned in an interview that only a week of shooting remains before the film is complete. Ram Charan has finished his part and is currently on a break.
Recent reports indicate that producer Dil Raju will meet Shankar in a day or two to finalize the new release date for the film. The team is considering either a Christmas 2024 release or a Sankranthi 2025 release, as Shankar requires significant time for post-production work. Additionally, Shankar is set to release Indian 3 soon.
The key question is, what is the best strategy for releasing Game Changer? Should it come out before or after Indian 3? There are various scenarios to consider.
If Indian 3 is released before Game Changer and turns out to be a decent film, it could erase the horror of Indian 2, thereby boosting the hype and business for Game Changer. However, if Indian 3 is as poorly received as Indian 2, then whatever Game Changer’s hype is left after Indian 2 that will also wash away.
Most fans believe that releasing Game Changer first would be a better option. After witnessing Indian 2, expectations for Indian 3 are zero. They don’t want to risk Ram Charan’s film any further.
Indian 2 can still be considered a one-off from Shankar and there is hope that he will redeem himself with Game Changer. But if Indian 3 is released first and is poorly received, it will confirm doubts about Shankar’s current outdated form, leaving no hope for Game Changer.
Conversely, if Game Changer is released first and underperforms, Indian 3 might be completely rejected, regardless of whether it is good or bad.
