Like Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD, Tiger Shroff’s Ganapath is also set in the future, specifically in 2070 AD. Both movie teasers reveal a bleak, dystopian world devoid of hope. The heroines, Deepika Padukone in Kalki and Kriti Sanon in Ganapath will feature in high-octane action sequences.
Amitabh Bachchan appears in both films, sporting similar attire. Both Tiger Shroff and Prabhas’ characters confront an army in their respective movies.

Prabhas portrays Kalki, the 10th avatar of Lord Vishnu, while Tiger’s connection with Lord Ganesh is hinted at in the teaser when clouds form God’s image. The central theme in both movies is the emergence of a hero when the world seems hopeless.
Because of these reasons, people on social media are discussing that Kalki and Ganapath are very similar. A section of North media is also trying to put Kalki down saying Ganapath is looking better than Kalki in terms of making and execution. Some are of the opinion that Ganapath will steal that novelty factor from Kalki.

However, it’s crucial to acknowledge that Nag Ashwin’s vision for Kalki transcends the scope of films like Ganapath. Even aside from budget differences, Kalki represents a groundbreaking level of filmmaking. More than five years of meticulous preparation and hard work had gone into it even before the shoot started.
If we strip away the dystopian elements from “Ganapath,” it bears resemblance to many other Tiger Shroff films that are released every year, lacking distinctiveness from the Baaghi or Heropanti series. Also, the VFX shots are poor and some are straight away copied from video games.
