NTR Has No ‘Peddi’ Regrets. Will Allu Arjun Regret God Of War?

Jr NTR and Allu Arjun God of War debate

The dynamics of hero-director collaborations in Tollywood have shifted into a high-stakes game of choice, timing, and patience. A major point of discussion in the trade is how massive scripts bounce between top stars and how those choices shape their careers.

The most prominent example involves Jr NTR, Allu Arjun, and a mythological project directed by Trivikram Srinivas, widely discussed by fans as God of War. This conversation naturally draws comparisons to Jr NTR’s past lineup choices regarding the film Peddi.

Director Buchi Babu Sana originally narrated the emotional sports drama Peddi to Jr NTR before the project eventually moved to Ram Charan. While the film achieved massive global box office milestones, trade analysis suggests Jr NTR likely has no regrets.

Peddi remained a regional phenomenon and did not perform well in the North Indian circuit. Since it failed to provide a massive national push akin to RRR or Pushpa, missing the opportunity did not cost Jr NTR the pan-Indian momentum he prioritizes.

A similar story has emerged around Trivikram‘s newly announced socio-mythological venture based on the lore of Lord Murugan. The project was initially envisioned for Allu Arjun to cement his national footprint after Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo.

However, the prolonged production of Pushpa 2: The Rule locked Allu Arjun’s dates for an extended period. Consequently, Trivikram moved the script to Jr NTR, who officially greenlit the collaboration under Haarika & Hassine Creations and NTR Arts.

This handoff raises questions about whether Allu Arjun will regret letting go of this project. In the current landscape, a single choice can delay a star’s lineup by half a decade, making the loss of a mythological epic a significant gamble.

Unlike sports dramas, socio-mythological films have high success rates in North India if the visual scale lands correctly. If this project becomes a national milestone, it will leave an inevitable sense of “what if” regarding Allu Arjun’s involvement.

Ultimately, the outcome depends on the success of the paths both stars have chosen. Jr NTR is expanding with heavy visual spectacles, while Allu Arjun is betting on intense, character-driven franchises.

In an industry where timing is as crucial as the script, stars cannot wait indefinitely for projects to align. Allu Arjun remains focused on his current commitments, trusting his chosen lineup will deliver an equally powerful theatrical high.
