Jana Nayagan Director Loses Patience: No One to Save Us

H Vinoth on Jana Nayagan delay

Vijay’s final film Jana Nayagan, directed by H Vinoth, was originally set for a worldwide theatrical release on January 9th. The release was postponed due to a delay in issuing the censorship certificate.

Since the postponement, the Jana Nayagan team had remained silent. This changed recently when H Vinoth openly expressed his frustration in an interview. His remarks quickly went viral on social media.

During the interview, H Vinoth referred to the recently released film My Lord. He pointed out that the film also talks about politics, yet did not face similar issues.

He stated that when Sasikumar’s characters speak about politics, journalists and the media come forward to support them. However, when he speaks about politics, he feels there is no one to support or defend him.

Although H Vinoth did not directly mention the censorship issue, many viewers linked his comments to Jana Nayagan. They believe he was indirectly highlighting the lack of backing for the film and hinting at media bias.

Following his remarks, several netizens argued that the delay is not about political content. They claimed the issue lies in Vijay being the lead actor. According to them, the film may have released smoothly if any other actor had played the role.

The statement also triggered strong reactions from Vijay fans. Many began criticising the Censor Board and the media for not supporting the film.

H Vinoth’s indirect criticism of journalists and media houses has now become a major talking point. Social media continues to buzz with reactions and debates surrounding the delay of Jana Nayagan.
