It is learnt that Harish Shankar approached Ravi Teja for the Telugu remake of ‘Jigarthanda’ and later Sai Dharam Teja. He dumped both of them and locked Varun Tej to play the negative character in the movie and roped in Naga Shourya to reprise the lead role. Both Ravi Teja and Sai Dharam Tej are hurt as he didn’t even go back to them before moving on with Varun Tej.

According to some sources, Ravi Teja is totally furious on the director for his behaviour and Sai Dharam Tej too felt bad for the director’s attitude. Director Harish Shankar had one blockbuster ‘Gabbar Singh’ that was the Telugu remake of Hindi blockbuster ‘Dabangg’ and that’s about it. Besides that movie, he never made it again and was in the news for all the wrong reasons and the controversial statements he made. His attitude and controversies keep him in the news more than his films.
