Recently, Cyber cell of Hyderabad had invested quite an effort into setting up an organisation to deal with cyber crimes. Luckily, it was recently proved that this step was in the right direction when the Cyberabad Commissionerate managed to catch a cyber criminal and got him convicted.

This fellow, G. Srikanth, was in the habit of going to many different internet centres in various parts of the city where he installed a hardware device called keylogger into the computers. These devices used to log the keystroke of all the users of those computers and effectively copied everything that was being typed. This even included numbers of bank cards and their passwords. The fellow would then return to these centres and get the card details and used it to make fraudulent purchase.
However, the Cyber Crime police of the Cyberabad Commissionerate managed to capture him and got him sentenced to one-year imprisonment.
