Kalki has opened on a bright note at the Hindi box office by grossing in the range of Rs 100+ crore in the opening weekend. The Sunday number, in particular(Rs 36 crore nett) was exceptional.
However, there was a doubt on whether or not the film would hold its ground on its first Monday. Luckily for those involved, the film passed the Monday test with flying colors.
As per box office reports, Kalki collected Rs 16 crore nett on its first Monday which is just a Rs 4 crore drop from its first day(Thursday). It is evident that the film is keeping a strong hold on Monday which is key.
If a similar pattern can be shown in this weekdays this week, and a big second weekend is achieved, then the film could breeze past the Rs 200 crore nett mark and swarm ahead.
The film has touched the Rs 123 crore mark till now and it is likely that it would do in the ballpark of Rs 160 crore by the completion of the second weekend.
