Hombale Films, a Kannada production house, gained nationwide recognition with its KGF films and Kantara.
These movies elevated the production house’s reputation to a formidable level. Having Salaar in the pipeline, featuring Prabhas and directed by KGF’s Prashanth Neel, seemed like a solid follow-up to maintain their success.
However, the production suddenly faced backlash from trade folks and criticism for failing to deliver a regular mass film on schedule. While Salaar is a high-budget project, it’s not on an epic scale, and this is where Hombale fell short.
Trade circles are commenting that Hombale Films created confusion until the last minute, fueling numerous rumors instead of presenting a clear plan for Salaar’s release.
Unfortunately, Hombale has not provided an official release date, causing speculation and disrupting other production houses’ schedules.
This situation reflects poorly on the production house, which is demanding exorbitant prices for Salaar but couldn’t manage the production and release schedule effectively. It’s a significant misstep and will be remembered as a disastrous planning failure.
