Some of the pharmaceutical companies based in and around Hyderabad are covertly helping the drug mafia which is catering the needs of addicts in the country and the World. Recently registered cases indicate that the drug mafia had shifted their base from Mumbai to Hyderabad to procure the raw materials easily. Previously the raw materials usually banned were brought from different places of the country and are used to produce the drugs.
But in recent times, the mafia join hands with some pharmaceutical companies in and around Hyderabad and use their facilities to manufacture drugs here itself. Most of the times these companies are registered ones and Police do not raid them unless they get a tip-off. After production, the drugs are sent to Chennai via road, from where it is exported to Southeast Asia.
Recently two pharmaceutical companies both registered, one in Hayatnagar and Guna Sai Life Sciences in Nalgonda district were booked for their involvement in manufacturing banned drugs. They had rented their facilities to the racketeers. Experts say that it is high time all the pharmaceutical companies are brought under the scanner.
