The success meet of Sing Geetham was held today in the presence of the entire team, with Anil Ravipudi attending as the chief guest.
Actress Nivetha Pethuraj revealed that she had seriously considered walking away from cinema before becoming part of the project. Her heartfelt speech highlighted how the film and the people behind it reignited her passion for filmmaking.
Nivetha shared that in 2023, she had decided to quit the film industry altogether. “I would like to thank Nag Ashwin for bringing me back to life, in a way. If it weren’t for him, I probably wouldn’t be standing here today. I might have been somewhere in the Himalayas, meditating and pursuing a completely different life. But I’m back now, and I believe I’ve returned with a big bang. When I watched the film, I had tears in my eyes because it reflects something that is happening in the world right now.”
Director Anil Ravipudi, who attended the event as a chief guest, praised Nag Ashwin for backing the dream project of Singeetam Srinivasa Rao. “This is a quintessential Singeetam Srinivasa Rao film. For any director, creating even one landmark film is a remarkable achievement. But in Singeetam’s case, almost every film he has made is a landmark. This one is no exception. The film feels like a heartfelt tribute from Nag Ashwin to Singeetam garu, while also serving as a celebration of cinema itself. Credit goes to Swapna Cinema and Vyjayanthi Movies for backing such a unique vision.”
Nag Ashwin revealed that being part of a project Singeetam had dreamed of for nearly four decades felt destined. He credited the entire team for transforming that long-cherished vision into reality, saying he merely helped set the project in motion while the cast and crew carried it forward with unwavering belief. He reserved special praise for Devi Sri Prasad, calling him the film’s true creative force whose music elevated the narrative, particularly in the climax. Nag Ashwin also highlighted the collaboration between the 94-year-old Singeetam and young filmmaker Sankalp Reddy, noting that the fusion of experience and youthful energy gave the film its soul, magic, and contemporary appeal, making Sing Geetham a truly special cinematic achievement.
