India’s first project lands in Vizag

Case in point is India’s first emergency oil reserves which according to the officials will be dedicated to the nation next month. This underground rock cavern for the storage of crude oil in order to hold country’s emergency reserves will be on the eastern coast.

Meanwhile, two important projects are ready in Vishakhapatnam awaiting PM Narendra Modi’s inauguration which is to take place in the first week of July. The project includes the long-delayed expansion project of the Visakhapatnam steel plant as well as the underground rock cavern for strategic storage of crude built by Indian Strategic Petroleum Reserves Ltd (ISPRL), the special purpose vehicle floated by the Oil Industry Development Board.

The authorities are getting ready for the PM’s visit and the arrangements for his visit were reviewed by Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan himself.
