Indraganti Trolled for Senseless Comments!

Indraganti Mohan Krishna

Mohan Krishna Indraganti is regarded as a promising director. But his recent track record hasn’t been impressive. With films like V and Aa Ammayi Gurinchi Meeku Cheppali, his stakes went down drastically.

In his latest podcast interview, Mohan Krishna spoke about bringing tonal changes in Telugu films and the need to redefine entertainment and change the conception that audiences come to theaters to forget their daily troubles.

“Directors cant be burdened by the job of entertaining the audience in theaters. It can’t be a stream where the audience come to halls to forget their day-to-day troubles. Why should I, as a director take the job of entertaining someone while my real intention is to make a story that I like?” The director said.

“Malayalam and Tamil people are also facing the same troubles as us. But their filmmakers still make serious subjects. If one needs to forget his troubles and enjoy, he should go to a pub, and not a theater” he said.

This talk from the director about the need to bring such changes in Telugu films has drawn flak.

“Problem is not the statement..but the fact that he makes basic sh*t and acts like he is some vetrimaran or something….! there is a club of telugu directors that think they are auteurs..but they are just half baked basic a*s films” a netizen pointed out.

Another man pointed out “Man the audacity of Mohan Indraganti amuses me. He has been making torture films and is speaking about what the audience should expect from a film. He is failing at his job and he is pushing the blame on audience”.
