It looks like Andhra Pradesh Government is not at all in favor of encouraging the film industry. We have seen dramatic incidents happening in the state with officials terrorizing theaters with raids. Around 300 theaters face seizure or voluntary shutdown as a result.
Allu Arjun‘s Pushpa and Today’s release, Nani‘s Shyam Singha Roy are the worst impacted. While this is the issue of theaters, the Government has also rejected permission for Pushpa’s Success meet in Kakinada which was supposed to happen later today.
The local administration initially permitted the event. But the permission has been canceled citing Omicron threat after all the arrangements are made. While political leaders have no issues whatsoever for their meetings, film events are the only danger for Andhra Pradesh.
Pushpa team also had success meets in Chennai and Cochin but could not have one in their own state.
