Jail bird Sanjay Dutt will see the outside world very soon. Of course, it is only for one day. Sanjay Dutt is currently in Yerawada jail in connection with holding of unlicensed weapons during 1993 terrort attacks on Mumbai. He will come out along with other inmates on September 26 for fundraising programme at Balgagandhrva auditorium. The jail superintendent Yogesh Desai confirmed the news and said that the funds raised in the programme will be spent for the welfare of prisoners and other charitable programs.
Maharashtra chief minister Prithviraj Chavan and home minister RR Patil are likely to attend the cultural show featuring popular Hindi and Marathi songs. The officials are worried about the security for the programme as thousands of Sanjay Dutt fans will throng the venue to see their loving hero. Media focus will also be there since many his fans want to see him at least through live programme.
54years old Sanjay, child of famous actors Sunil Dutt and Nargis Dutt, has many twists in his life. Personally, he is a good person but mafia’s connection has ruined his career and health. In March 2013, the Supreme Court upheld Dutt’s five-year sentence, 18 months of which he already spent in jail during trial. He will be released in 2015 September. Till then, Bollywood has to wait for his new movies.
