Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay is one of the elite names in South Indian cinema, but his focus is elsewhere now after he became the chief minister of Tamil Nadu. Meanwhile, his recent film Jana Nayagan is undergoing a pathetic situation.
This film was supposed to release this Sankranti season, but it did not happen due to external factors. And then there was the perfect opportunity for the film to have a strong launch in theatres after Vijay became the CM when the hype surrounding the film hit all time high.
But strangely the makers did not get orchestra release for this film, which is kind of unconventional, considering the hype they had earlier.
This film had a lot of prospect going its way after Vijay became the CM and the box office upswing was humongous as well. But the spur of the moment has been completed now, and the hype has subsided.
It needs to be said that the producers have messed up with a golden opportunity to hype up the film and release it immediately after Vijay became the CM, but they did not put consolidated efforts.
This is becoming a dead prospect again, and this is not a good thing for anyone involved. The producer of this film might be in the good books of Tamil Nadu chief minister and he might be compensated in a different way. But as a film and as an experience for fans, Jana Nayagan id going nowhere.
