Generally, when a film gets delayed by a long time once the final product is completed, there is every chance that it can stale and this will have a very negative impact on the box office prospect.
But in the case of Jana Nayagan, which has Thalapathy Vijay in the lead role, it has started to gain the momentum even after the extreme delay in the release.
This film is now supposedly releasing in theatres on July 23, and the preparations are on the way for the same. If that really is the case, then it could be argued that this film has a lot of prospect going its way.
Vijay fans globally, including the conventional Tamil Nadu market and his usually strong zone of overseas will be over the moon with the release of the film. There is every chance that this film could emerge as the highest grossing Tamil film of all time.
There isn’t much to look forward to in terms of content or the promotional material that has been released till now. But the very presence of Thalapathi Vijay is enough to bring the Tamil audience to theatres in big numbers.
There is every chance that this film could touch the 500 crore at the global box office with a reasonably good content. If the Director had cooked up at least reasonable content, then there is no looking back for this film as a sensationally good box office run is guaranteed.
