It has been more than five days since Devara hit the theatres, and the film has emerged as a decent success in Hindi. The movie is racing towards a lifetime collection of 60 crores net, which is a fair result for the film.

Before the release, even the biggest fans of NTR expected an opening of 4 to 5 crores in Hindi for Devara. But NTR surprised everyone by collecting 7.5 crores on the opening day.

In recent times, big superstars like Akshay Kumar have failed to cross the 5-crore mark on the opening day despite numerous promotional events, interviews, city tours, and offers.

Akshay Kumar’s last few films, like Sarfira, Selfiee, and Khel Khel Mein, couldn’t even collect 40 crores in their lifetime, whereas Devara will cross that mark in the first week itself.

Devara is set to surpass the business of Akshay Kumar’s biggest-budget film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan within just 10 days flat.

NTR has achieved these box office numbers without any major promotional events, city tours, or buy-one-get-one ticket offers. Despite mixed reviews, the collections are holding up well, proving that NTR has firmly established himself as a major pan-India star. It wouldn’t be wrong to say that he is currently bigger than many Bollywood stars.

Devara was never treated as a pan-India film by the Hindi audience; they considered it just a dubbed Telugu movie. That makes the collections look even more remarkable.

NTR’s ease in speaking Hindi, combined with his charm and natural extroversion, puts him in a better position than other pan-India stars. If NTR can deliver a solid pan-India film with proper release strategies and promotions, he can reach new heights even quicker.

His upcoming releases, WAR 2 and Dragon, will only solidify his status as a massive pan-India star in the near future.
