Like we have Censor Board to issue rating for a film with U, A and UA etc, there is a particular rating system in Malaysia in which an 18 rating for a film means audiences under 18 cannot watch the film.

The Film Censorship Board of Malaysia (LPF) had earlier rated Rajinikanth’s ‘Kabali’ with 18 but now it is revised and the ‘P13’ rating is given to the film, which means that audiences under 18 can watch the film. This implies that audiences under 18 age can watch ‘Kabali’s Malay version.
This would improve the viewership for the film for its Malay version. There is a lot of craze for the superstar in Malaysia as well. So, the Malay version is expected to do well. The latest rating may help to improve the film’s finances abroad.
