There is no debating the fact that Prabhas and Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 is the biggest project in Indian cinema in 2024 both in terms of production budget and lead cast. The film is announced for release on the 9th of May this year, but the latest developments are suggesting anything but an on-schedule release.

In the latest update, the team flew to Italy today to shoot a song. Prabhas is also seen taking the flight along with the rest of the lead cast and crew.
Amidst the confusion about the release date, the team flying to Italy for the shoot doesn’t make for a good viewing as if the film is on course for an on-time release, then the promotional tour should have started by now. But instead, the shooting is still going on, and that too in foreign locations.
Being the biggest project of the year, this confusion on the production and release isn’t what is expected from the team. For now, we have to assume that the film is set for May 9 release as there is no announcement on the postponement. But can the team race against the clock and stick to the original release plan?
