The debate is on. It’s like the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) on one side and the film fraternity on the other side. These days CBFC is going strategical issuing the list of objectionable or offensive words, banning the use of particular double meaning words and suggesting lot of cuts and changes getting itself involved with censoring.
Here senior actor Kamal Haasan blames CBFC for turning a Censor Board while it’s only a Certification agency for films. The thin line is forgotten and ignored. The board is interfering into the creative freedom of the film makers. He quips how his ‘Mumbai Express’ was asked to be changed into a Tamil name and questions how can we get a Tamil name for Mumbai 🙂 .
In the recently arranged press meet at his home, Kamal talked on his upcoming films. He expressed his ignorance on the reason for the delay of ‘Vishwaroopam 2’ and opined it is for the producer Aascar Ravichandran to answer the query. And on ‘Paapanasam’ plagiarism case, Kamal thinks it is an unwanted case done purposefully. It was a press meet where Kamal discussed many things regarding films.
