The theatrical trailer of Kantara A Legend Chapter 1, the most-awaited prequel to the blockbuster Kantara, is out now. It promises a grand visual spectacle, and additionally, there is an intrigue about the setting and characters as the terrain here is unknown.
Right from the first frame to the last, the big-screen appeal of the movie can’t be missed. The whole thing is mounted on a large scale with lots of action and drama.
However, the wow factor of the original seems to be missing here. While not the entire thing is revealed, the trailer hints at the possibility of the narrative being of “The Chosen One”, the saviour who comes to the rescue of the masses from a tyrant. This is a formulaic story seen many times, but the background here (the folk, divine elements) manages to have that intrigue nonetheless.
The scale and the background score are the driving factors here along with the primary casting of the lead pair, Rishab Shetty and Rukmini Vasanth. Gulshan Devaiah makes his Kannada debut with the movie, and he seems to have the biggest challenge here that of the antagonist.
The dubbing looks decent here for the Telugu version. The scale and the Kantara association should be enough for the openings in Telugu. The rest would depend on how formulaic the narrative turns out considering the story.

The paid premieres are expected to begin a day earlier on October 1st itself. However, an official confirmation regarding the same is needed again.
