The Kantara Chapter 1 team recently hosted a press event at a Mumbai hotel. Attendees included Rishab Shetty, Rukmini Vasanth, producer Chaluve Gowda, distributor Anil Thadani, and costume designer Pragathi Shetty.
Though the event was called a press meet, the media was not allowed to ask questions freely. Instead, they were given an exclusive preview of the song O Mere Kantara, featuring Diljit Dosanjh and Rishab Shetty, ahead of its public release.
When asked about an animal shown in the trailer, Rishab said it was not just an animal but a character that should be experienced in the film. He added that many elements were kept out of the trailer to preserve surprises for the audience.
He mentioned that he and distributor Anil Thadani joked about whether the trailer revealed too much or too little. Rishab credited Hombale Films for ensuring that the full cinematic experience begins only when their logo appears on screen.
Responding to questions about the climax, Rishab hinted that audiences will see what they expect and also what they don’t. He further revealed that the story is set in the 4th or 5th century, something he never expected when starting the project.
These updates have raised excitement among fans as Kantara Chapter 1 gears up for its release on October 2, 2025.
