The film, directed by Rishab Shetty and produced by Hombale Films, is one of the most-anticipated releases of 2025 and officially opens on October 2, Gandhi Jayanti.

Reports suggest the makers are planning advance screenings across India in multiple languages. However, the final decision is still pending. If approved, this move could help boost the film’s box office and build strong word of mouth ahead of the long holiday weekend.

October 2 is a national holiday and also falls during the Dussehra period. This timing is expected to increase footfalls and provide the film with a major advantage. Industry insiders further highlight that no major release on September 26 will ensure smooth showcasing on October 1.

Past examples show that paid previews can be highly rewarding. In 2013, Chennai Express collected Rs. 6.75 crore from previews, while Stree 2 earned Rs. 9.40 crore on its advance day last year. Even Talvar surprised trade experts with solid preview numbers in 2015.

With Kantara (2022) being a massive hit, trade circles believe its pre-release business could be huge if previews are held. The October 2 weekend also sees the release of Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, starring Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor, Sanya Malhotra, and Rohit Saraf.

Two strong films arriving on the same day are expected to draw massive audience attention. Official clarity on previews for both titles is likely in the coming days.
