According to recent reports, Keerthy Suresh will make her Bollywood debut alongside Varun Dhawan in a movie that Atlee is presenting. The movie is going to be the Hindi remake of Vijay’s Theri. It is being said that Keerthy had specific criteria for her Bollywood debut, and this remake film with Varun Dhawan checks all the boxes.
After Mahanati, Keerthy lost track with some bad films. After a long time, she somewhat found her mojo back with Dasara. And just when everyone thought that from now on Keerthy would be making smart script choices, she goes ahead and accepts Theri’s remake for her Bollywood debut.
That film neither has any scope to perform nor is its box office prospect positive. It’s quite strange to see so many people in 2023 still having fascination with that mid-action entertainer Theri that released in 2016. The film is also getting remade in Telugu as Ustaad Bhagat Singh with Pawan Kalyan.
The Hindi remake is scheduled to release in Summer 2024. It would be no surprise if the film doesn’t get any takers and is finally dumped on some OTT platform.
