Koratala Siva’s ‘Janatha Garage’ was well appreciated commercially and at the same time criticized for several loopholes that surfaced during narrating the story. But there are some reviews which are funny rather than being critical.

Koratala Siva mentioned about one such review in which the director was criticized for making an environmental specialist love his Maradalu (played by Samantha). According to the funny review, it is detrimental to the environment to marry Maradalu (genetic issues when a guy marries somebody closely related).
Koratala says that he can’t write character unnaturally for the sake of environmentalists or science. Koratala finds this critic most dumb and mocked him for highlighting such a silly point in his review. Koratala defended himself on heroines having no importance in the story. He said, as Samantha is there, he can’t write for Samantha but only for her the character. He can’t increase the screen presence of a character only because a big star like Samantha was available.
