Ram Gopal Varma has reacted to Ranbir Kapoor’s flying car comment with his usual sarcasm. During Ramayana promotions, Ranbir compared Elon Musk’s flying car to the Pushpaka Vimanam, saying India had achieved something similar 5,000 years ago. The comment caught attention, and RGV has now added his own twist to the discussion.
“We started with PUSHPAK VIMAAN and ended with AIR INDIA,” RGV remarked, taking an indirect dig at the comparison. The punchline quickly draws attention to the contrast between the flying vehicle described in ancient mythology and the present-day experience of Indian aviation.
Ranbir Kapoor‘s comment was meant to highlight how advanced ancient Indian civilisation was, but RGV’s punchline brought the discussion down to earth. Instead of debating whether the Pushpaka Vimana was an example of ancient flying technology, he turned the comparison into a joke about how far things have come, or perhaps how far they still have to go.
With just one line, RGV has given Ranbir’s comment a completely different twist. His comparison of Pushpaka Vimaan with Air India is now another talking point around the Ramayana promotions.
