According to the reports doing the rounds, Laxmii has delivered staggering opening numbers for the platform Disney Plus Hotstar. It has recorded an extraordinary 3.7 million views on an opening day. It has surpassed the previous best 2.3 million registered by late Sushant Singh Rajput’s Dil Bechara.
The key thing to understand here is that Laxmii has got those views with the premium (price) still applicable. It wasn’t the case with Dil Bechara which was free for all viewing due to the unexpected demise of the lead actor.
It should provide an answer to people who are clueless about the reception of the biggie on the online platform. A biggie featuring a star is always a cut above the rest no matter which space it arrives. Akshay Kumar is going through a golden phase commercially as a star. With Laxmii, he dabbles into a different horror-comedy territory. The opening doesn’t come as a surprise, therefore.
