LEO’s North America Premieres Target!

Lokesh Kanagaraj’s ‘LEO’ is stunning the trade, with North America’s premiere day alone heading towards a $2 million-dollar premiere day.

The highest-grossing Tamil premiere still belongs to Rajinikanth’s ‘Kabali’ with a gross of $2 Million.

Back in 2016 when ‘Kabali’ was released, only around $110K was reported from Canada due to some theaters being unreported at the time. However, tracking has improved, and Canada’s numbers are now being accurately recorded.

Depending on how ‘Leo’ is received and the number of walk-ins, it has a chance to set an all-time premiere record. If the initial word-of-mouth is positive, it’s likely to cross the $2 million mark and become the highest-grossing Tamil premiere.
