Vijay Turns Headache for Pradeep Ranganathan?

Love Insurance Kompany release date uncertainty

Pradeep Ranganathan’s long delayed film Love Insurance Kompany (LIK), directed by Vignesh Shivan, was set for a worldwide theatrical release on February 14 after multiple postponements. However, fresh uncertainty has emerged, with the release date once again under question.

Reports suggest that Vijay’s Jana Nayagan is still awaiting its censorship certificate and is being pushed for an early release. The makers are reportedly aiming for the second or third week of February, creating a possible clash around the same window.

In such a scenario, LIK, which reportedly needs over 140 crores to break even, could face serious box office pressure. Sources claim the team is considering a postponement to March 27 to secure at least a two week solo theatrical run.

Although there is no official confirmation, the speculation has upset many Pradeep Ranganathan fans. They have criticised the repeated delays and feel the film has already lost momentum due to constant uncertainty.

Fans also argue that delaying the film because of Jana Nayagan, which itself lacks a confirmed release date, is a weak move. They fear another postponement will hurt opening day collections and are urging the team to stick to February 14.

For now, the final decision remains unclear. Whether LIK delays again or holds its ground, the outcome will play a key role in determining if Pradeep Ranganathan can continue his recent box office success.
