Jaya Krishna’s Debut Puts Mahesh Babu in Spotlight

Mahesh Babu with Jaya Krishna Ghattamaneni

The iconic Babai-Abbabayi sentiment that has long defined Tollywood lineages like Balakrishna-Jr. NTR and Pawan Kalyan-Ram Charan has now officially entered the Ghattamaneni family.

Jaya Krishna Ghattamaneni, the son of the late actor-producer Ramesh Babu and grandson of legendary Superstar Krishna, is making his silver screen debut as a lead hero. He is stepping into the industry with the intense romantic action drama Srinivasa Mangapuram, directed by Ajay Bhupathi. The film is officially set for a grand worldwide theatrical release on July 30, 2026.

The debut has sparked significant curiosity among industry insiders and fans regarding the level of off-screen support he will receive from his uncle, Superstar Mahesh Babu. While Mahesh Babu maintained a relatively reserved and understated public stance during the launch of his maternal nephew, Ashok Galla, the emotional stakes are noticeably different this time.

With Jaya Krishna representing the direct paternal line of the family, fans are watching closely to see how actively his Babai Mahesh will step forward to anchor, promote, and guide this new successor’s cinematic journey.
