YS Jagan has been very successful when it comes to mitigating the legal and judicial pressure, despite standing against the NDA government at the political level. This comes at the cost of silently surrendering to the NDA, but that is a price that Jagan is prepared to pay.
However, it appears that pressure is finally starting to mount on Jagan and his men on a consistent basis.
Recently, the enforcement directorate had requested the Telangana High Court to permit daily hearing in Jagan’s disproportionate as its case. If this turns out to be the reality, then check could be facing significant pressure.
Jagan was able to successfully mitigate this risk during his time as the chief minister, by saying that he was busy with his responsibility. But that is not the case now as he is out of power and might be mandated to appear in front of court.
This is getting substantiated further with the action that is being taken on YS Avinash in connection with the YS Viveka murder case. He had to attend the ED investigation in this case amidst allegations of 40 crore transaction that was orchestrated for this murder.
Both Jagan and Avinash have come under the investigative radar at the same time and there could be a pattern developing here. Nothing is consolidated or worrisome for Jagan at this point, but things can spiral out badly in a jiffy.
Meanwhile, Jagan is preparing for the Pada Yatra in the latter half of 2027. It must be tough to apprehend him after the start of this lengthy procedure, it shall be noted.
