M9 News Journalist Nishant spoke with Producers Raam Achanta and Gopi Achanta ahead of the release of Akhanda 2 on December 5th. The producers appeared confident about the film’s prospects.
They said that Balakrishna Garu and Boyapati Garu are a proven combination. They added that their goal is not just to make money but to ensure Buyers also profit. They hoped the film would set new Records and become a Benchmark for other Balakrishna films.
They addressed common questions about Boyapati and Balakrishna films. These included doubts about why Boyapati struggles to handle the younger character of Balakrishna. They also discussed the criticism that Boyapati films follow a formula with a younger Balakrishna in the first half, a second character near the interval, and mass action in the second half.
Raam and Gopi explained what went wrong with 1-Nenokkadine and the mistake they made with Aagadu. They said they failed to create the right expectations for 1-Nenokkadine. They should have revealed the Hero’s Problem in the Trailer. A debate was held within the team, and they chose not to reveal it. They called this a Blunder.
They added that expectations after Dookudu affected Aagadu. They said Aagadu would have been a big hit if it had released before Dookudu. They also spoke about the current industry crisis and why Netflix and other Platforms cannot completely stop buying Telugu films.
