Mahesh Babu – the undisputed king of US

Superstar Mahesh Babu is once again proving why he is called the overseas Baadshah and king of US, with his latest release 1 Nenokkadine. The film which has almost ended its run signifying the talk it had in Andhra Pradesh, has now become the fourth highest grosser ever in US market. What this means in simpler terms is that Mahesh Babu has put a movie in top 4 of US that is a disaster in AP. It signifies the star power of Mahesh Babu in this area and why he is called the King.

Well this isn’t a first for Mahesh Babu though, in the past too, the actor has achieved a similar feat in US with the film Khaleja. Again this was a film that was heavily panned by the local audience in AP but turned out to be a Super hit in US and much like 1 Nenokkadine it too found a place among the top 4 grosser’s back in those days. Puri Jagannadh whose films generally don’t fare well in overseas saw two of his career biggest overseas successes with the two Mahesh Babu films he has made.

So this is how the standing are currently among the top grosser’s in US. The first place is occupied by Pawan Kalyan starrer Atharintiki Daredi ($1.9 M) directed by Trivikram Srinivas. Following it the next three places are occupied by Mahesh Babu films like Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu ($1.64 M), Dookudu ($1.57 M) and the latest 1 Nenokkadine ($1.27 M).

It is keeping in mind this fabulous track record in overseas that we had asked in the past before the release of the film whether 1 Nenokkadine can breach the 2 Million mark in US. We hope many have got the answer now, with a slightly better talk and rating, 1 Nenokkadine could have surely touched the 2 Million mark. Well, he may have missed this time but with a film coming in the combination of Srinu Vytla, his Dookudu director, rest assured that the actor wouldn’t be missing the target when it hits later in the year. Are there any people out there who still have doubts about the supremacy of the Superstar in US? Share us your thoughts.
