Makers of Karthikeya cashing in on Swati’s popularity

Nikhil and Swati have teamed up for the second time in upcoming film Telugu film Karthikeya. Since Swati is a popular actress in Tamil as well, the makers of the film have decided to make the film in Tamil as well. The film’s launch in Tamil happened recently.

Is it a smart move to actually bank on a heroine’s popularity? Generally, filmmakers bank on a hero’s popularity, but this seems to be a rare case and we have see whether it will work in the film’s favour. However, Swati has been very successful in Tamil and Malayalam too.

In fact, one of her biggest Tamil release titled Idhabba is getting ready for release soon. In essence, it might actually work in her favour.
