Manchu Vishnu: 1st time in LPP history, shoot cancel

MANCHU vishnu lakshmi prasanna pictures“I can only do films, acting and producing. It’s not talent but the kind of exposure I got because of my father. I grew up watching him, acting and producing films. It’s not like I have great talent,” pondered Manchu Vishnu at the audio launch event of ‘Singham 123’ on Sunday evening.

Speaking during the event, Vishnu talked about his journey as a producer when he wanted to pursue his dream to produce films on ’24 Frames Factory’. When he began, he gave advances to artists and was ready to go for shooting a film in 2003, December.

Two days before the shooting to commence, he dropped the film because he felt he couldn’t handle the film as the film’s script didn’t turn the way he expected. Vishnu says, ” It’s not about money, it’s more about prestige. Artists are sensitive and can’t recuperate soon when dreams are shattered.” That’s the first time in the history of Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures to cancel a shoot after paying advances to artists.

Talking on very successful Manchu Lakshmi’s Talk Show, Vishnu reveals that MAA TV outrightly rejected the idea of a Talk Show but Zee TV gave pillar of support accepting the show and then followed a show on ETV. Vishnu also mentioned a 2008 film (probably Saleem) which he doesn’t want to remember even.

And coming to ‘Singham 123’, he talks about the spoof comedy and appealed to heroes in the industry not to get offended by the parody as it is targetted for satirical comedy. It’s because of Sampoornesh, the parody supercop story is going to be accepted. Vishnu lays confidence on Sampu and says many heroes in Indian films don’t have even half the attitude or screen presence as much as Sampu has.
