The first look poster of Tamil mass star Vijay Ilayapathy’s upcoming movie ‘Bigil’ came out two months ago and surprisingly that poster was caught in controversy, at present. Tamil Nadu Meat Shop Owners Association found fault with the poster.
Vijay was seen sitting on a chair with his right foot set on a wooden block that meat shop owners use to cut meat and fish. Moreover, Vijay was also wearing footwear. A leg with footwear on the wooden block was said to be insulting for their trade alleged the meat shop owners.
So, they tore the posters and also conducted a protest against it in Coimbatore, in front of the collectorate. The meat and fish sellers consider the wooden block sacred and hence they have objections with the poster.
They criticized the poster but made no demands, whatsoever. Maybe, they want that particular scene to be removed. Coming to ‘Bigil’ promotions, the makers held an audio launch event recently and the movie is inching towards its release date.
