Vishwak Sen has quickly grown into a hero whose films are sure to generate buzz or attention before their release, but his recent release Mechanic Rocky is an exception.
Mechanic Rocky had almost zero buzz, mainly due to its trailer, which looked like an utterly routine film that couldn’t be taken seriously.

Adding to this, Vishwak Sen, who is known for having a good taste in music and usually having 1-2 hit songs in his films, completely missed the mark this time.
Though he hoped the music of the film would stand out by bringing in Jakes Bejoy from Malayalam, he failed to deliver even one decent song.

But this is all pre-release. Post-release, Mechanic Rocky, right from the first shows, became a non-starter.
The word of mouth was extremely dull and did not amplify interest in the film, which contributed to its poor performance.

After Gangs of Godavari, Mechanic Rocky is another back-to-back massive disappointment for him.
Mechanic Rocky is not a film that will bring any goodwill either, even excluding the box office. Even though a new stretch appears in the second half, most of the film is very routine and formulaic, including the climax, which wasn’t great.
These types of films do not earn goodwill for the actors or technicians involved.
The blame falls on Vishwak Sen for choosing a plot that wasn’t even half-honest to the core idea they should have focused on.
